Flown

A flight logbook for private pilots

Log the flight. Know you're current.

Flown is an iPhone and iPad logbook built for one job: keeping a Part 91 private pilot's records straight, and answering the only question that really matters before a flight — am I legal to fly on Saturday?

What it does

Logging that takes seconds

The aircraft defaults to the one you flew last. Airports autocomplete offline from 28,428 fields worldwide. Time goes in as decimal hours or as block times. One tap repeats your last flight with the route reversed — which is most of training and all of pattern work.

Currency, done properly

Day, night and tailwheel passenger currency, instrument currency including the six-month grace period most apps omit, flight review, and medicals including BasicMed. Each card shows the date it lapses and what you still need. Tap one to see exactly which flights satisfy it.

Automatic logging you can trust

Flown can detect a flight from GPS and draft the entry — times, route, landings, night time. It never writes to your logbook by itself. Drafts wait for you to review and accept them, because a logbook is a legal record.

Your data, genuinely yours

Import from ForeFlight, Garmin Pilot, or any CSV. Export to all of them, plus a complete JSON backup — free, always, with no paywall on getting your own records out. No account, no server, no analytics.

What it is not

Flown is not an electronic flight bag and does not try to be ForeFlight. It does not handle airline duty and rest limits, instructor rosters, maintenance tracking, or weight and balance. It covers fixed-wing airplanes under FAA rules, and nothing else.

That is the point. Every feature had to earn its place against a single question: does a Part 91 private pilot need this on a Tuesday?

Privacy

Flown collects nothing. No account, no server, no analytics, no tracking. Your logbook lives on your device and syncs through your own iCloud, which only you can read. The full privacy policy is short, and true.
